Respect for oak

A two- and three-hundred-year old raw material is worthy of respect and deserves the utmost care in handling. The logs used by the CANADELL company are felled during the dormancy period, from early September until late February. The lunar cycle is also respected, with all pruning occurring when the moon is declining. This guarantees a minimum of sap in the logs, which prolongs their longevity once felled.

After an initial measurement and selection based on quality criteria, the trunks are distributed to each location. Once there, they are stored with great care, so each batch is physically separated to maintain perfect traceability.

Products from the earth, oak and grape force us to make specific decisions when harvesting to ensure optimum quality of the final product.
